The Hospital and Clinic welcome a new full-time physician!

RLMCMH is happy to welcome a new, full-time physician to our Hospital and community! Dr. Akila Whiley (second from left) has moved to Red Lake and will begin her new role as Associate Physician with Red Lake Medical Associates, next week.
Dr. Whiley has just completed her Family Medicine residency at Women's College Hospital in Toronto. She is no stranger to the area, however -- she actually completed part of her residency here this winter....and liked it so much that she returned!
Originally from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Dr. Whiley attended medical school at Dalhousie University and completed her undergraduate degree at McGill. She has a twin brother, two wonderful parents, loves the outdoors and is hoping to learn more about paddling. She's come to the right place....and at the right time!
